(summary from goodreads)
Forced to drop out of an esteemed East Coast college after the sudden death of her parents, Jane Moore takes a nanny job at Thornfield Park, the estate of Nico Rathburn, an iconic rock star on the brink of a huge comeback. Practical and independent, Jane reluctantly becomes entranced by her magnetic and brooding employer, and finds herself in the midst of a forbidden romance. But there's a mystery at Thornfield, and Jane's much-envied relationship with Nico is tested by a torturous secret from his past.
Review: I read Jane Eyre about a year ago so I went into this book pretty much knowing everything that was going to happen. But, if you've never read Jane Eyre then the mystery and twist in the plot of Jane will probably be just that, a mystery and a twist.
Obviously, Jane is shorter than Jae Eyre so it didn't have every detail, but Lindner did do a good job of modernizing the story and making it a fun read.
There was nothing particularly remarkable about Jane or Nico. It seemed to me that Jane fell in love just because she got used to seeing Nico, but overall, it was a fun book that was well modernized for a fun twist on a classic.
